Complete hibachi grill sets handcrafted in Buenos Aires — firebrick and cast iron hibachi, stainless steel yakitori rods, and thin skewers in one kit.
The Yakitori Grill Set That Comes Ready to Fire
Every hibachi combo in this collection pairs one of our hibachi grills with the two accessories that turn it into a proper yakitori station: a pair of stainless steel yakitori rods that sit across the firebox and hold your skewers above the coals, and a set of thin skewers that thread chicken, fish, or vegetables without splitting them. It's the same setup you'd find behind the counter at a yakitori-ya — direct binchotan heat, no grate in the way, and full airflow control through six adjustable inlets.
Each grill in the set is built on a 0.6" firebrick base with cast iron construction — the combination that reaches the heat of a traditional konro grill while surviving outdoor use. The rods and skewers are sized to match each model, so nothing needs adjusting: the Small set works as a tabletop yakitori grill for one to three people, the Medium handles groups of four to six, and the Large is built for restaurant service or bigger gatherings. All three ship fully assembled from our Buenos Aires workshop.
If you already own a hibachi, the rods and skewers are also sold separately in our yakitori accessories collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in a hibachi grill set?
Each hibachi combo includes one Fuku Labs hibachi (Small, Medium, or Large), one pair of stainless steel yakitori rods sized to that model, and one set of thin stainless steel skewers. The grill ships with its standard 7mm carbon steel grilling grates as well, so you can switch between yakitori-style skewer cooking and open-grate searing in the same session.
Is a hibachi set better value than buying the pieces separately?
Yes. The set is priced below the combined price of the grill, rods, and skewers bought individually, and everything arrives in one shipment, fully assembled and ready to use. It's the simplest way to get a complete yakitori setup from the first cook.
Which hibachi set size should I choose?
The Small set suits solo sessions, couples, or tableside service — it's the most portable option and works as a tabletop yakitori grill. The Medium set is the most popular choice for home use, feeding four to six. The Large set is built for restaurants, catering, or parties of eight or more. All three share the same firebrick base, iron construction, and adjustable airflow.
What can I cook with the yakitori rods and skewers?
Anything you'd thread on a stick: chicken thigh (momo), chicken and scallion (negima), meatballs (tsukune), shrimp, whole trout or salmon fillets, mushrooms, peppers, and asparagus. The rods keep skewers suspended over direct charcoal heat, so the ingredients char without touching a grate — the technique behind authentic Japanese yakitori and kushiyaki.
Can I use the hibachi in the set without the rods?
Absolutely. Remove the rods and drop in the 7mm carbon steel grates that ship with every hibachi, and you have a standard japanese charcoal grill for steaks, vegetables, and larger cuts. The set doesn't lock you into one cooking style.
How do I clean the rods and skewers after use?
Let everything cool completely. Brush the rods with a stiff wire brush to remove residue, wash the skewers with hot water and dish soap, and dry both thoroughly before storing. Stainless steel resists rust, but drying prevents water spots and keeps the surfaces clean for the next session. Wipe the iron body of the hibachi with a light coat of oil.
How long does shipping take?
We process orders quickly. Standard shipping within the United States typically takes just 2 to 5 business days from the moment you place your order.
Does the hibachi set ship unassembled?
No — every Fuku Labs hibachi ships fully assembled and tested. The rods and skewers arrive alongside the grill, so the only assembly is placing the rods across the firebox. Watch our setup video on the website to see exactly what to expect on delivery.
Can I pair a hibachi set with a Korean BBQ grill?
Yes. Many customers run a hibachi set next to a korean bbq grill to serve two cooking styles at the same table — yakitori skewers over binchotan on the hibachi, galbi and samgyeopsal on the Korean plate. It's the full Japanese and Korean charcoal experience in one setup.
