The Japanese Charcoal Grill Built for Real Heat

Our hibachi grills are engineered for the kind of heat that only firebrick and cast iron can deliver. Six adjustable air inlets let you dial in temperature precisely, whether you're charring yakitori skewers over binchotan or searing a steak with restaurant-level intensity — the way Japan's finest japanese style  grill tradition intended.

Each unit is handcrafted in Buenos Aires by a team of ten artisans producing 30 to 40 grills per month — fully assembled, tested, and ready to fire up. From the portable Small Hibachi to the full-size Large, every model shares the same firebrick base and iron construction.

Hibachi vs Konro Grill: The Same Fire, Built for Your Backyard

In Japan, the konro grill (炉) is a narrow charcoal brazier built from diatomaceous earth or firebrick, designed to burn binchotan at extreme temperatures with almost no smoke — the same setup behind yakitori, yakiniku, and serious high-heat grilling. In the United States, "hibachi" and "konro grill" are often used interchangeably — and for good reason: the principle is identical. Direct binchotan heat, precise airflow control, and a cooking surface built for the sustained high temperatures that create genuine restaurant-quality sear.

At Fuku Labs, we build on that same tradition. Our hibachis use a refractory firebrick base and cast iron construction — the combination that reaches konro-level heat without the fragility of traditional ceramic. The result is a Japanese charcoal grill that performs like a professional konro and survives like a workshop tool.

Whether you call it a hibachi or a konro grill, you're looking for the same thing: a grill that turns real charcoal into real flavor. Handcrafted in Buenos Aires, built to last.
